Tandem Cranes is a Cape Town based company servicing the needs of clients in the Western Cape region with mobile crane, abnormal transport and specialist rigging services.

Established in 1985 by Dennis Gentry, the company started out as a predominantly rigging company.  As time went by, the company acquired it’s own mobile cranes and specialised transport vehicles.

Today the company is still owned and operated by the Gentry family.

Our vision is to become the leading service provider in the heavy lifting and transport industry having customer satisfaction as our ultimate goal in achieving our company mission.

Tandem Cranes strives to offer excellent service, highest safety standards, state of the art equipment, fully trained staff and professional advice – making Tandem Cranes leaders in the mobile crane and rigging industry.

Our abnormal transport division services clients nationally and cross border into certain countries in Southern Africa.

We have a technical team available 24 hours a day to survey sites on behalf of our clients and seek formidable solutions to lifting and transport problems. We have our own full time in house safety officer ensuring safety standards are of highest regard.

  • Provide training to our staff to ensure competent personnel are sent out in the field
  • Distribute and control information for employee empowerment and informed decision making
  • Ensure that appropriate resources are available to support the quality management system
  • Document and communicate the results of assessments, recommendations for continuous improvement strategies
